Saint Tropez

Saturday morning was a little overcast but as we had a rare weekend of doing nothing I thought we should take a drive down to Haselmere for a proper walk around the shops and to pick up I top I had spied on the Woodie & Morris Facebook page.  Sadly the weather in Haslemere was awful, the rain was so heavy and the temperature felt about 10 degrees colder than Guildford although that might be a slight exaggeration!  We literally ran to Woodie & Morris, into Waitrose to pick up some food for dinner then home to dry off and warm up!

I started tweeting with Melanie from Woodie & Morris about a year ago I think (time flies!) and I’ve been to the Cranleigh store but not the first store in Haslemere.  The stores are named after the lovely family dogs –  Woodie, the black lab (who sadly pasted away recently) and mad Morris, the long haired Jack Russell.  I love that the store is named after the family dogs and their picture is pride of place in both stores.  Woodie and Morris is all about contemporary, stylish fashion but the store also stocks footwear, including a great selection of Superga sneakers, accessories (including the beautiful Olivia Burton watches) and beauty bits by REN and Ortigia.

Morris - Woodie & Morris

Its Morris!!

I am a bit obsessed with star prints so as soon as I spotted a star print top on the W&M Facebook page I had to have one!  This top is by Danish brand Saint Tropez and comes in 3 colours, an off-white, coral (which I got) and a pale mint green; it’s such a lovely soft top.  I went for a size small has it’s quite an oversized baggy fit, which is how I like it, with fitted sleeves just to the elbows.  This top ticks two boxes for me stars and neon;  it’s such a vibrant coral colour, I really need 3 weeks solid in the sun to get a golden tan and beach blonde hair to properly carry this colour off.

Top: Saint Tropez from Woodie & Morris
Jeans: J Brand Rail from The Dressing Room
Shoes: L’Autre Chose
Necklace: COS
Bracelets: Woodie & Morris and Bridget Wheatley

Due to the techique used to print the star, each piece varies slightly so each top is unique.   This top is such a great price – £29.99, that’s what I love about indies, great pieces you won’t see loads of other people wearing and normally on a par with the High Stret price point.

When I got the till I couldn’t resist this little bracelet, only £12!  Cute eh?

Take a peek online or better still pop to one of the stores, can’t wait for AW13 as I have had a sneak peek of what’s coming and there are some new brands and gorgeous pieces heading to Woodie & Morris!
