I’m kinda ignoring the lack of posts during 2016 and just getting straight back into it, so Happy New Year all! New Year means new kicks, gotta put that best foot forward into a New Year!
I tend to wear sneakers and clothes that I love until they literally drop off me and sadly I’ve had to send two of my favourite pairs of Vans off to sneaker heaven together. My all time favourite Liberty x Vans, why, oh why didn’t I buy two pairs of those? sob, sob. AND my bronze metallic slip-on Vans, both had holes literally everywhere and I just couldn’t wear them anymore. Then my black Superga, that the Superga Guildford team kindly gifted to me to celebrate their store opening, had two holes appear in the soles and I got very wet feet, so I needed some new trainers for all my walks with the hound.
Scrolling through the Woodie and Morris Instagram stream I spotted some interesting looking sneakers and by chance I spotted a women in the same pair as I was leaving my Barre class and they were just so niccccceeeeee.
I just had to drop Mel at Woodie and Morris a line and 48hours later my purchase had arrived from Surrey, UK to San Francisco, California – now that’s service people!
These are by the Danish brand Woden – Works of Denmark, a brand established in 2013 and from my research, it looks like they’re only stocked in Europe at the moment. These are just, oh so Scandi stylish and comes in a range of leather, metallic and pony skin patterns, at the £70-80 mark these aren’t cheap but the quality is certainly first class. The moc-croc leather on my pair is just so soft and gorgeous; it’s a very premium finish. The insoles are so bouncy, they almost feel like I’m wearing a pair of Nike Air. Mine have been worn pretty much continually since they arrived, no blisters at all and the sizing is totally spot on, I’m so impressed with these sneakers, in fact they’re too fancy for my daily walks with the dog!
I actually did a little unboxing video over on Pint of Stuff, so for a full review and a bit of a laugh at me trying and failing (again!) to do an unboxing take a peek…
