On Saturday we had the pleasure of attending one of my dearest friends wedding, the day had crept around so quickly after coming back from holiday, so we packed Huxley off for an overnight stay at the seaside and off we went to Orsett Hall in Essex. Even though we left in plenty of time the traffic lights were out on the A3/M25 junction so we were delayed by about 30 minutes before the journey had even really started, but with a bit of luck Mr B got us there just in the nick of time. I was literally running from the car to the chapel past the bride and her father in my Louboutins’ – I can run quite fast in heels when needed! But we made it and witnessed a lovely ceremony followed by good food, company, lots of love, laughter and dancing! It was truly a lovely day, one of the best weddings I have been to and I’m so pleased that my friend is so happy.
So what did I wear…… well I went into Whistles the other weekend and spotted the most beautiful mid-lenght silk mix print skirt, not normally my style at all. After some persuasion by Mr B I tried it on and I immediately fell in love with it and felt a little bit like Carrie Bradshaw in this skirt, it’s so totally not my style. Mr B in fact found a whole outfit in Whistles for me, he really is quite the stylist! I had a little niggle in my brain that was saying ‘umm isn’t it the time Grazia has a 25% off Whistles offer?‘ so I left the skirt hoping and praying and I was right, the fashion gods were shining on me! So off I went to Whistles last week with my Grazia offer and splashed the cash on a new outfit.
Hair – Blow n Braid at Blow Ltd
On Friday night afterwork I booked myself in for a blow-dry at Blow Ltd in Covent Garden, I have been here before and always go for the Beach Blow but thought I would have something different so went for the Blow n Braid and WOW I loved it! A wash and blow-dry is £25 and this style was done in exactly 30 minutes and thankfully it stayed in overnight for the wedding.
So here’s my wedding look in full….
Apologies for the poor quality of the pictures but they were taken late and the person behind the camera was a little worse for wear!!
What do you think?
