Having been at the Charli Cohen event at ME London, we called into the UGG lounge which was also there for a bit of chill time and to rest our feet! UGG took over the penthouse and offered a place of sanctuary away from the chaos of fashion week. The views from the sofas over the blue London skies were simply stunning and were a welcome change from the drab winter sky’s we’ve got so used to recently. Kate and I rested up our tired feet, refreshed our makeup, had a drink and got chatting to the lovely Sophie Hay who works as a fashion intern at Vogue.
We also had a good look at some new UGGs which are part of the Creative Council collection, more about that here. I love UGGs I imported my first pair back in 2002 from the US and I literally have worn them to death so bought a replacement pair about 18 months ago but find myself still using the originals. I always pack a pair of UGGs for our camping trips to France; I love all the funny stares from the older French village folk give me when I walk to the bakers in the morning in shorts and UGGs – they look totally confused by my choice of footware!! I’m not so sure UGGs have reached the small village we stay in.
I love the new collection as the shorter and more sporty boots make the boots more versatile for the chillier months when you don’t want to be wearing a full on boot. The new sneaker style UGGs were pretty cool and I could see me in them in the winter as Cons are not so great when the temperature drops! UGG very kindly gave us each a pair of classic mini UGGs to take away which I will be wearing a lot, once I have sprayed with the ‘Bitter Apple‘ spray to keep Huxley puppy off them. He also has a thing for UGGs; not in a good way but he is clearly already developing great taste! 😉
