Last Friday we went to Cap Ferret to browse the shops and pick up a few bottles of wine and champagne; it would be rude not to when en France. I finally got to wear a couple of purchases I hadn’t even removed the tags from as the summer in England, as we know, was virtually non-existent this year.
First up my shorts, I first spotted these Maison Scotch leopard print shirts on Black White Denim in May time but I didn’t buy them and they soon sold out. When Maison Scotch went into sale mode I bagged myself a pair and had them delivered to Mr B’s work but, ahh, they went missing! They were signed for, and Mr B collected them from the goods-in guy but what he did with them I don’t know! I think the package was so small they accidentally got thrown away or are lurking in a desk draw or somewhere at home. But after a bit of internet hunting I found them on sale at Flannels reduced to £20 so I bought them for a second time and this time success! These are a size 2 and are on the loose side, I like the slightly longer length on me and these shorts have pockets; a detail I love but is missing on so many little slinky shorts.
The “Bad Ass Paris” top by Être Cécile I’m wearing was actually bought on a Brand Alley last summer and didn’t arrive in time for me to take on my last French holiday, so I saved it for this summer. From memory this was reduced to £22-ish; it’s worth keeping an eye out on Brand Alley as they have had a few drops of this brand, they’ve a sale on at the moment, you never know! The material Être Cécile use is quite thick so I was a little warm in this tank when the sun came out but it helped to keep out the gentle sea breeze as we walked on the beach …. who’d have thought a vest would be so practical and funky.
My outfit was finished with silver Superga and my trusty Sheriff and Cherry sunglasses. I really need to find another pair of those sunnies as I would be devastated if they got broken! but have yet to find another pair I love quite so much.
Now I did do some shopping on this trip to Cap Ferret but I will share those pictures when I get home and do my unwrapping…
