The lovely team at John Lewis  contacted me recently (sadly Monty the Penguin isn’t coming round for Christmas!) and asked me to share My Shoe Story, so here we go!  Generally I’m very much a sneaker or heels girl, none of this messing around in-between – a girl knows where she is with sneakers or heels!

Putting on a pair of heels just changes the way you feel and I’ve had a thing about heels since making my own when I was little; constructing the heel out of lego and sticking to my shoes!  I’m a little bit of a Carrie Bradshaw when it comes to heels; I can run fast in them – I had to the other month to make it to the church before the bride, I can dance all night in the right pair and I have had a store call my bank to get authorisation to buy my most expensive pair!  I think I went without lunch for nearly a month to fund that particular pair.

So as the Festive season is here, (how is it December already?!) it’s time to get those heels out and party!!  John Lewis have an awesome selection of heels to get you in the mood for dancing this Christmas, with brands such as Kurt Geiger, Bertie, LK Bennet and Dune to name just a few, check out the entire John Lewis shoe and boot collection here .  When I was given the chance to choose a pair of party heels for ‘My Shoe Story’ I spent ages trying to decide on a pair, but something was telling me these bad boys had my name on them….

These Kurt Geiger Bond Ultra Slim High Heel Courts are just stunning; the black suede is so soft and the shape of the ultra thin gold heel just makes these plain black courts stand out.  They are super high but surprisingly comfortable, but due the cobbled High Street in Guildford these may have to be car to bar shoes;  I’m good in heels but I’m not that good!

These heels work so well with a plain pencil skirt and statement sweater, nothing else needed, the heels do all the talking!  They also work so well with ripped up boyfriend jeans, basically slip these heels on and a bit of red lipstick and you’re ready to party!  These shoes will have a story to tell after this weeks festive drinks no doubt 😉
