I had a much needed day off on Friday so decided to head into London for a spot of shopping. I’ve had a day to day bag on my mind for a long time and was determined to find the ‘one‘. However as per usual it’s always the way, when I have the cash and want to buy something I get there and I just can’t make my mind up – it’s big decision!
So it wasn’t a very successful shopping trip although I did buy a top and necklace from & Other Stories and a new necklace from Monica Vinader, I will blog about these purchases soon – maybe the day was more successful than I thought ;). Oh, I also bought some new leg warmers from America Apparel for dance class; I just love leg warmers!
Sunglasses – Sheriff & Cherry at NET-A-PORTER
Sweater – Isabel Marant Elise Mesh Panel Top (last season from Matches Fashion)
Leather Biker – Whistles (same style in grey can be found here)
Jeans – J Brand Rail at The Dressing Room
Sneakers – Isabel Marant Beckett (last season from Matches Fashion)
Bag – Anya Hindmarch, Huxley
Friday was just glorious bright sunshine in London so I gave my ‘string vest’ Isabel Marant top its first wear. I bought this ‘Elise’ mesh panel top right at the end of the Matches sales last year when I returned from my summer holiday but it’s been sitting in my draw waiting for a mild day to wear it. It has grey jersey arms with a jersey panel across the bust area but the rest of it is made from cream mesh material, like a sting vest! It wasn’t warm (and I wasn’t brave) enough to wear it with just a bra so I layered with a black vest top from M&S.
My ‘JBrand Rail‘ jeans also got a wearing paired with my Isabel Marant sneakers, Whistles leather biker and my Sheriff & Cherry sunglasses – I need some more of their shades, they are just very cool and don’t break the bank!
So that was me – digging into my wardrobe inspired by the sun yet not brave enough to let the rays sneak through to my skin and totally failing on the bag hunting front.
What have you all been wearing this bank holiday weekend? Is the sun inspiring you? Let me know 🙂
