The older you get, the faster time seems to fly by, I really can’t quite believe it’s already 2016, so thank you for stopping by and Happy New Year!! 2015 seemed to go by in one big flash, months and days merged into one and here I am already a day into the New Year. Last year was another amazing year for the blog, I feel so lucky to have worked with some amazing brands and boutiques such as John Lewis, Withings, Superga, Gant, The Dressing Room, Jake Shoes, Woodie and Morris and others. I have been absent on here more than I wanted to be due to a whole bunch of reasons, however it’s a new year and that will change, I promise you, dear readers!
I ran my first 10k race, I started yoga again, I was ill more times than I wanted to be and then I had the most stressful life changing 5 months of my life, leaving my day job, selling the house, selling my beloved Mini, saying goodbye to friends and family and starting a new life in the sunshine state of California, 2015 really was quite some year.
Huxley and SJ at Half Moon Bay having a final bit of 2015 beach fun
For the last day of a momentous year I went to the beach with my two favourites, Mr B and Huxley, the sun was shining, the sky was blue and the surf was up in Half Moon Bay. When the sun is shining California truly is a stunning place to live. New Years Eve was spent with Mr B out in San Mateo for cocktails and food, we didn’t brave San Francisco, but we will next time. New Years Day was also spent on the beach just by the Golden Gate Bridge, there really was no better way to kick off 2016.
Tomorrow we pick up our keys to our new home, the rest of our belongings and furniture have just docked in Oakland, as soon as our container clears customs we can start to build our home here in the Bay Area. All that’s really left is for me to find a day job, however I still have a few months until my work permit is approved, then it’s all systems go on my Californian adventure. 2016 I think I’m ready for ya!
Happy New Year all!
