Ok, so there’s a bit of a cheat here, this is a Friday night outfit but I actually wore it last Friday. We had the pleasure of having two friends stay in San Francisco last week so we all met up for cocktails at The Clift last week. What was going to be just a few drinks as our friends were landing from LA that evening turned into a LOT of cocktails and Saturday being a bit of a write-off; always the sign of a good night!

As I had a pretty rough week feeling under the weather, I thought I would dig out some new pieces that hadn’t had a proper outing yet to help make me feel that little bit better. I gave my Céline Trio a debut and took the Golden Goose out for only their third spin. The leather skirt I bagged in the Whistles sale a month or so before I left the UK, it was a real bargain at around £50 reduced from £250, I miss a good shop in Whistles, online just isn’t the same!
I had been after a leather skirt for ages but I’d been looking at a pencil skirt which I struggle to get right sizing wise, due to my small waist and larger derriere, I love a skater style skirt and this one is just right. More importantly this skirt has pockets, I just have a thing for skirts with pockets.
It was a little cool last Friday night so I opted for a lightweight sweater that Mr B bought me for Christmas. I don’t normally wear a lot of green but I really like this colour on me, Mr B did good – again! This sweater is from JCrew and has a royal blue flower embellishment on both shoulders, the pictures don’t quite do the detail justice. The sweater is still on the sale in a few JCrew stores in grey with white embellishment for a bargain price of $29, it’s well worth picking up if you see it as it can be worn so many ways.
I haven’t been that inspired by fashion since moving to the US, so i’m sticking very much with my style, you like this little ensemble?
