On Wednesday I finally headed over to see the lovely team at The Dressing Room in St Albans and had loads of fun, fizz, fashion and cake at their Insiders Event to launch the overhaul of the boutiques branding.

The goreous and very talented owner of The Dressing Room Deryane Tadd invited me along with some fellow bloggers to check out what the store has been up to in preparation for the big launch of their new website which is coming very soon – how exciting!!

If you don’t already know The Dressing Room (and the very modest Deryane) is/are a multi-award winning independent boutique, currently voted the No 1 Independent by Drapers and from working with these guys on several projects I can understand why.  This team interacts with clients via social media and other channels in a way that puts some of the big high street players to shame; they totally engage with their customer base and provide that all important customer service and understanding that you rarely sadly get on the high street these days.

The team all know their stuff; Deryane won’t let her team loose on you without stylist training. The boutique sells over 80 brands covering all price points, so there is something for every budget and age.  The boutique also stocks all the essentials you might need to go with your outfit; the boring (but essential) stuff such as tights, spanx, boob tape – so you know you will leave her and the team looking fab.

The new branding is just gorgeous, gone is the bright pink replaced with a pale, dusky pink and gold, the boutique mirrors this inside with hints of grey throughout, very stylish. The website is also very what I would call ‘clean’ looking and is also responsively designed which means the site can tell what device you are using so it will give you the best user experience for your device, be it PC, Mac, iPhone, Android or tablet! Mr B started to explain all the tech stuff when I told him but all I needed to know is I’ll be able browse more easily while I’m commuting in the morning; a sensible use of that time I’d say.

Of course the day was also about playing dress-up with some fabulous fashion too!  However, as I have so many pictures I want to share I will save them for another post.  So a big thank you to Deryane, Jaime, Charlotte and the team for such a fun day!  Next time can I meet Coco? 🙂
