Sometimes a girl’s just gotta treat herself – right? Well that’s exactly how I felt after the stressful weeks leading up to our flight for the move over to the Bay Area and what better way to treat oneself with a little bit of Chanel. The shopping at Heathrow T3 is so good and bad; bad because you could easily spend a small fortune before you even leave the country, especially if you’re off on holiday! I had tried to get some prices of a few Chanel bits back in October when I came out San Francisco for a flying trip (literally!) but it was just so busy I didn’t have the time or the patience to do. I’m a bit annoyed at myself for not doing this as I could’ve got the price of the ‘Boy‘ bag I wanted and dialled ahead – oh well, that’s on the shopping list for my next visit back to the UK.
However I did have to treat myself to something, and in my exhausted dazed state I didn’t really know where to start! I had a look at some necklaces, some brooches, some espadrilles…. then I asked to look at some earrings and was immediately drawn to the famous double C logo sparkly, almost art deco style earrings from the Fall/Winter 15/16 collection. I just had to have them!
Serious Chanel sparkle going on!
I also needed a smaller purse/card holder and as the prices at Heathrow are so good it would’ve been silly not to get one. I wanted something chic and not to ‘Chanel in your face‘ so I opted for this rather discreet card holder purse in grained calfskin, which of course has the Chanel logo on it. The leather is just so soft and its such a beautiful little piece of Chanel that fits perfectly into an evening bag or in my pocket when I just need to pop out to the shops. My old faithful Louis Vuitton purse, which is a good thirteen years old has seen better days, so the Chanel purse and my new larger Stella McCartney purse (which I haven’t shared with you all yet) are two perfect replacements.

Chanel Christmas Gift Wrapping 2015
Chanel packaging is always beautiful, the monochrome of a Chanel gift is just perfect, but Christmas Chanel wrapping is just very special. So special that I didn’t really want to open my purchases and it took me nearly two weeks and the fact we were going to a party for me to finally see what I had purchased! As I was so dazed and tired when I bought these two pieces I had almost forgotten what I had bought. The earrings and purse had their first outing in San Francisco last weekend at a Holiday Party on Pier 35 and we all had a very good time together.
