My love of American Vintage is well documented on here so when the team at The Dressing Room asked if I was able to attend the American Vintage first UK ‘Arty Party‘ my arm took vey little twisting. Luckily the M25 played nicely today, it was literally a nice clear run, so off I went with Mr B and Huxley in tow to St Albans.
So what is an ‘Arty Party‘ I hear you say? Well it’s basically a lot of fashion and art fun, grab an American Vintage tee and have it customised there and then with just about anything you want and get your nails done to match! It wouldn’t be a party with some sweat treats to nibble on and some Pimms (for Mr B only as I was driving!) It was also a great chance to check out the massive American Vintage collection The Dressing Room stock; not only do they have the core tees/vest tops in all styles and colours, they also have trousers, shorts, dresses, sweaters, skirts, jumpsuits – everything!
There was also 10% off today and a fab goodie bag with each American Vintage purchase. So after browsing all the beautiful rails I decided to try a sweater that was in the window by … American Vintage of course 🙂 I had to take advantage of the discount and buy the ‘Galaxy‘ sweater as the print is just bonkers, so bonkers in fact that it kinda worked with the American Vintage trousers I was wearing, you’ve gotta wear American Vintage to their party – it’s the law!
I also grabbed myself a Jacksonville tank in dark grey to be customised, with what though I wasn’t too sure… but I just decided to go with my four legged friends name on the back ‘Huxley B‘ and it looks really cool, Huxley just barked when he was shown it, so I think thats a seal of approval.
Thanks to The Dressing Room and American Vintage for the invite and for putting up with Huxley barking, sadly he’s not that into fashion, unless he can chew it 😉
PS Post featuring my purchases will follow
